What is GMO/GMO Free Label?

The burden of proof in the sale of genetically modified organisms (GMO) free food or feed lies with the supply chain. Our non-GMO supply chain standard helps to supply GMO-free products, regardless of their types. The purpose of this certification is to extend from one player in the supply chain to many, and even cover the entire production process.

How to Obtain GMO/GMO Free Certificate?

The NON-GMO standard is designed to help firms who wish to source products without genetic modification. These standards apply to both food and feed and are applicable to all firms in the supply chain.

What Does This Certification Standard Cover?

We offer independent certification of quality management systems for each stage from seed sourcing to growing, harvesting, receiving shipments, storage, processing, and up to the market channel. The certification also includes verification of legal requirements related to GMO certification.

Our standards, based on EU regulations related to GMO-free products such as Directive 2001/18/EC, 1829/2003, and 1830/2003, are applicable to all processes in the supply chain:

  • Seed supply
  • Agriculture
  • Trade
  • Processing

In addition, services for the supply chain include:

  • Storage
  • Shipping
  • Sample collection and analysis

Businesses that achieve certification will be subject to annual surveillance audits to ensure continued compliance. GMO-free supply chain certification does not replace compliance with national or international regulations. In addition to GMO-free certification services, we also provide certification for Amazon Non-GMO Supply Chains.

What is Organic / Natural Certificate?

Natural Product Certificate is a reliable certificate for food products that meet consumer expectations regarding the preservation of their natural state and authenticity. It offers a structure that creates a completely healthy and safe food chain.

What Levels Are Natural Product Certificates Given?

For a product to be 100% natural, it requires effort. The Natural Product Certificate is regulated in 3 levels. These are;
•    100% Organic: Foods that are completely organic or made only from organic substances,
•    Organic: Foods with at least 95% organic ingredients,
•    Made with Organic Ingredients: Foods with at least 70% organic ingredients.

How to Obtain Natural Product Certificate?

To obtain an Organic/Natural Product Certificate, the manufacturer must meet international standards. These conditions apply not only to the final stage of the product's collection but to all significant stages, including planting, fertilizing, pesticide application, vaccination, collection, and packaging.
Special organizations audit the manufacturer, and they issue the certificate based on these audits. However, these organizations do not audit every manufacturer, only those who request an audit. While the fact that not all manufacturers are audited is seen as a disadvantage of the system, this issue can be overcome by educating consumers.
Consumers will turn to products with Natural Product Certificates, and as a result, all manufacturers who want to gain customers will try to obtain a Natural Product Certificate. In this context, manufacturers must first learn what is required to obtain a Natural Product Certificate and then review the entire production process. Manufacturers who complete the required steps can present the information to the consumer about how natural their product is by obtaining the Natural Product Certificate.

As a result, by providing a Natural Product Certificate;

•    Conscious consumers can more easily find the natural products they want,
•    The manufacturer's activities are audited, and the use of harmful chemicals is restricted,
•    Steps are taken to protect human and environmental health,
•    Manufacturers are encouraged to produce in more natural ways,
•    R&D activities for natural production are encouraged.
