HAK (Halal Accreditation Institution)

The Halal Accreditation Institution (HAK) is an accreditation body operating in the field of halal product production and marketing. HAK audits the compliance of halal products and services with the religious rulings of Islam and provides certificates to accredited organizations in this field. As an authority regulating and overseeing halal certification processes in Turkey, it certifies the compliance of businesses in sectors such as halal food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other consumer products with religious rules.

HAK's accreditation scope includes certain activities aimed at auditing the compliance of products and services with Islamic religious rules. For example, in the food and feed processing industry, halal slaughter and processing processes, the processing of perishable animal products, and the processing of milk and dairy products are included in HAK's accreditation scope. Biochemical product production, food additive production, and vitamin and mineral production are also under HAK's supervision. This scope is audited and certified to ensure compliance with the standards and rules set by HAK.
